Although diversity sells, Hollywood has not reflected much progress on diversifying roles in 2015 on the big screen. Star Wars The Force Awakens is one of the few that passes the Bechdel Test, even if it has its flaws. It’s exciting to see some mindful updates in an old franchise gives us a new hope for diversity in Hollywood film for 2016.
